
Engine Assists at Shed and Brush Fire
Engine 53-2 responded as a Tanker to this incident yesterday assisting Station 59 (Glen Rock).

Station 59 along with the first alarm assignment was dispatched to the 4000 block of Sunny Slope road for a reported shed fire. Crews arrived to find a shed that had exploded, a quickly advancing woods fire towards another residents, a woodshop actively burning and siding melting off the rear of the main home. Crews quickly asked for more resources and started on fire attack.
Mutual aid companies arrived an assisted in controlling the quickly spreading woods fire and fire attack on the garage. The fire was brought under control units remained on scene for 3 hours handling the mop up and overhaul of the buildings. Many thanks again to all the mutual aid companies in assisting on today’s fire, and Jacobus and Fawn Grove for covering the the area while crews worked.
State police fire marshal is on scene to determine the cause of the fire.
